Earth: History, my dear History, we saw many changes happen in front of our eyes

Today I want to borrow a page of unfortunate tragedy where a situation arose for brothers to demand

a wall to be built between them, a partition of 1947 (India-Pakistan).

My dear History, could you please bring up a page of Sher Singh's life,

who lost his whole family like many others.

Originating back to the 1930, Sardar Sher Singh was a farmer in Lahore, India. He had an optimistic character, always helpful within the community, honest and a true hard worker. During the country's traumatic & violent partition in 1947 he traveled and settled with his family in the village of Shergarh, Punjab, India

Sardar Sher Singh worked around nature all his day and he along with his wife Sardarani Gurbachan Kaur loved to use all that nature was producing around them for all their household purposes. This was a desire but also very practical in what were distressing times emotionally and financially for families with the previous loss of their homes, loved ones and the threats of violence that still existed.

The couple had great endurance and were determined to overcome whatever hurdle came in their way. Sardar Sher Singh had a long beard, as his ancestors, which was an important part of his identity, heritage and faith. Along with selling his farm produce, Sardar Sher Singh began selling his homemade beard and hair care products which he had crafted for years for himself to local families and to Maharajas (Kings).

Generations later during 2014 this hidden, homemade richness of man's heritage was revived in Berkshire, England. Someone from the family of Sher Singh found his signature blueprint of his sincere work

In December of 2010 Ravinder Singh, grandson of Sardar Sher Singh, travelled from England to his home village Shergarh, Punjab, India due to his father’s death, Sardar Jaswant Singh. Whilst in his hereditary old village house where Ravinder grew up, he remembered playing around his father while he was working. Whilst sitting in his father's room Ravinder tried to feel his father's presence. Seeing his personal belongings he found one old leather suitcase containing an old red book hand written with incredible and honest recipes for hair oils and waxes which were used and sold by his father and grandfather. This red book had a strong reflection of his father's and grandfather's passionate characters and overflowed with honesty, simplicity and diligence. This captured Ravinder's heart and he decided to keep this close to him and thus this book was brought back with him to England.

the footprints of Sher Singh towards nature that were never lost.

Three generations later found and followed with similar

sincerity and dedication.

Four years later Ravinder's lifestyle completely changed after the sudden death of his father. This was an impactful stage in his life. He viewed life with a more meaningful point of view and more depth. He began, along with his family, to value nature and bring this into his home just as his ancestors did. He began to distance himself from the dependency of chemical cosmetic products, fragrances and daily body care. In 2014 he grew his beard for the love of his father and to honour his faith. For centuries beard and hair care has been an integral part of Sikh identity with beards and hair being a symbol of strength and wisdom. Ravinder embraced this and while his transformation was taking place he was still impacted by the impression of his ancestor's red book. He wanted to revive these earnest and characteristic recipes which felt like treasure.

History: No my dear elder sister, listen. No need to apologise. I am strong enough as I have seen many tears. You are right, o my dear sister, you are right.

Ravinder began, along with his wife Jaspinder, making and testing his ancestors recipes/methods at their home in Berkshire from the red book to style and care for themselves. From there Maharaja Organic Body Care was inspired.

With Maharaja Organic Body Care the simplicity has been embraced in each product and their ingredients of the Sikh Maharaja times dating back to the 1800s. The word Maharaja, meaning "Great King" was an icon of fashion and style in Asia with hair care being the integral part of their look. Here the belief is that every person deserves to feel Princely. History: My dear Earth, the family of Sher Singh then stamped their own face of richness, yes the face of dignity, on the long struggle of hard work of their ancestors. They keep their hard work very close to their heart.

A local artist was employed to initiate the merger of the red book characteristics, which flowed with identity, trust, passion and skill, into a luxurious familiar form. This was then developed and matured by Ravinder Singh and his wife Jaspinder Kaur exclusively into its current complete form.

With Maharaja Organic Body Care, the organic and natural ingredients were tracked and sourced from the same place as the family ancestors. Here the intimate relationship between India and perfume was discovered. Being the land that gives birth to Sandlewood and Attar oils like Rose and night Jasmine, which were used by the family ancestors since 1930, Maharaja Organic Body Care now uses the same supplier at Kannauj ‘The City of Perfume’ in UP, India. Here traditional distilling methods are still used today which rely solely on nature's energy without electricity. Kannauj is where some of the world's best natural fragrance oils/ attars are produced. This is also the home place for the world's first ever Rose Water.
